Eliot Porter's Southwest. Photographs and essay by Eliot Porter. Holt, Rinehart and Winston, New York, 1985. Cloth. First Edition. Oblong Quarto. 25 pp. of text, 88 duotone plates. Signed by Porter on title page. Also signed by David Scheinbaum, Porter's assistant and present representative of the artist's estate.

Eliot Porter, known primarily for his extraordinary, color landscape photographs, also produced a large body of beautifully seen black-and-white work. Eliot Porter's Southwest is the only book published of his black-and-white photographs of landscapes and structures. Highly sought after, this is a beautiful, crisp copy of an increasingly hard-to-find book.

Ever-so-slight bump to top rear cover, corner of one page slightly frayed, otherwise Very Fine in Very Fine dustjacket.
