A boxed set of two books containing images selected by Ritts from the first decade of his work as a photographer. Many of these photographs, taken for the artist's own pleasure, were judged either too eccentric or too erotic for publication. The faces in these photographs are familiar, but Ritts shows them in an unfamiliar light. The pleasure of the artist at work is felt strongly in these photographs which do not compromise vision for popular acceptance.
