This extraordinary book was published with a choice of two different images tipped onto the front of the black cloth slipcase. This one is "Platte River, Tennessee". In 1960, Jack Kerouac wrote Frank, "That photo you sent me of a guy looking over his cow on the Platte River is to me a photo of a man recognizing his own mind's essence, no matter what." Ralph Gibson's Lustrum Press subsequently published a revised, American edition of this book in paperback.
Slipcase shows some wear with the book itself being an unusually Fine, fresh copy. |
