Taft Street. Four-Volume Set. Photographs by Todd Hido. Nazraeli Press, Tucson, 2001. First Edition. Unpaged, Octavo. Blue hardcover. No dustjacket as issued. 16pp.
This slipcased set contains all four variations of Todd Hido's famous Taft Street book from the Nazraeli Press One Picture Book series. As with all One Picture Books, each volume includes a hinged photograph, in this case an actual type-C print measuring 4-3/4x3-3/4". The photographs are of the same house on Taft street, shot from the same angle and location during each of the distinct seasons. The book itself contains color reproductions of all four photographs.
The limited edition of 500 copies was equally divided between the four different photographs. Thus, 125 copies of the books were issued containing each of the variants. The set is housed in a cardboard slipcase (issued by the publisher) with a paper label affixed on the front. Each volume is signed and numbered in pencil by Hido. Extremely scarce as the publisher made up only a few slipcased sets containing the photographs from each of the four seasons.
