THIS LOT CONSISTS OF FOUR GALLERY MIN EXHIBITION CATALOGUES: Morrie Camhi, 1987; Grant Mudford, 1986; Catherine Wagner, 1987; Henry Wessel, 1987.
Square quarto. Softbound with photo-illustrated wrappers. Numerous high quality black-and-white reproductions throughout.
Morrie Camhi, 1987. "Most of my photography time isn't with a camera, but with a cup of coffee, learning about the people I will photograph," says Camhi of his powerfully moving portrait work. This catalogue includes work from the mid-70s to mid-80s.
Catherine Wagner: Photograph, 1976-1986, 1987. For twenty years, Wagner has been exploring the concepts of structure and order in an ongoing narrative that at times has addressed architecture, educational paradigms, and domestic arrangements.
Grant Mudford, 1986. Mudford's early training in architecture is evident in the design sensitivity of these photographs of the man-made landscape. Austere studies of line, shape, rhythm, and texture these unpeopled street photographs reveal the uncommon beauty of common architectural details.
Henry Wessel, 1987. Wessel's work is characterized by an enveloping night-time atmospherics. He has received two prestigious Guggenheim grants and been widely shown, including solo exhibitions at both the Museum of Modern Art in New York and the Museum of Contemporary Art in Los Angeles.
All catalogues are in Fine condition, with only minor rubbing, shelf-wear, and some soiling to the text blocks.
