Folio.Original white boards in illustrated dustjacket. 187 pp. Henri Cartier-Bresson travelled around his native France for eighteen months taking the photographs for this book. Most of the 265 images are black-and-white, and a few are color. None of these images had been published before. Near fine copy (some light offsetting from front pastedown on facing half-title page); a few short edge tears in the dustjacket, with no paper loss.

From One China to Another. Text by Han Suyin. Photographs by Henri Cartier-Bresson. Universe Books, New York, 1956. First edition. Quarto. Original cloth in photo-illustrated dustjacket. Preliminaries + 6 pp. essay + 144 captioned photographs + 5 pp. Cartier-Bresson documented the withdrawal of the Nationalist government and the Communist takeover. Printed in gravure by Draeger. A very good copy with edges of cloth time-darkened; several noticeable edges chips to jacket.(Old cellotape on reverse of chips.)

The Galveston That Was. Text by Howard Barnstone. Photographs by Henri Cartier-Bresson and Ezra Stoller. The Macmillan Company, New York and The Museum of Fine Arts, Houseton, 1966. First edition. Quarto. Original cloth in photo-illustrated dustjacket. 224 pp. Although the photographs show a city in decline, there are still many reminders of its heyday. A fine copy; only minimal rubbing to some edges of jacket.
