Andre Kertesz decided to devote his life to photography in 1925, and took acclaimed images in his native Hungary, in Paris in the 1920's and 1930's, and in America since the mid-1930's. He preferred working with a small camera, capturing lyrical moments that often demonstrated his curiosity and were informed by his sense of design.
