Teenage Lust. Larry Clark. Self-published, New York, 1983. First edition. Large quarto. Stiff photo-illustrated wrappers. (The first edition was published only in wrappers.) INSCRIBED ON TITLE-PAGE: "To Lee Witkin, Larry Clark / New York City 1984." With small label reading "Personal Estate of Lee D. Witkin" inside front cover.
Autobiographical in form, Teenage Lust spans Clark's life from adolescence to his early years in New York City. Included are never before seen pictures from his Tulsa series, photographs from his teen lust series, and pictures from his more recent essay on the kids of New York's Times Square. The autobiographical essay clarifies much information regarding the publication of Tulsa and Clark's run-ins with the law.
A fine copy; very minor hand-soiling on back cover and the slightest bit of rubbing to the very top edge of the front cover. [It looks like there are uneven tones on the cover in the photo-scan, but this is not the case.] |
