Eucalyptus.
Photographs by Jean-Luc A. Fournier. Text by Fran├žois Bon.
Le Caillou Bleu, 2011. 80 pp., illustrated throughout, 7x9½".

Publisher's Description
There is a longstanding affinity between the tree and the house, as recalled by a proverb: a house is not your own if you have not planted a tree there. The cement folly of big cities in no way contradicts this fact. The tree is a eucalyptus. He, the photographer, planted it when he arrived there, and now it is has taken over. This trunk is an outpouring, a manifestation of exuberance, the ultimate proof that the plant world ignores mankind whom it overshadows, and is concerned with something far more radical, in terms of weather, air and time. -Fran├žois Bon
