Mauro Fiorese
"Are images simply strong suggestive interpretations, sometimes fruit of casual selection, or are they maybe guided by some undeniable inspiration? Certainly this is a work held together, sometimes obsessively, by certain reoccurring icons. Omnipresent are the symbols of the Catholic religion in which I've grown together with my conflicts; nevertheless, these symbols have followed me often in countries where I've found myself as a traveler. These symbols allow me to maintain a living relationship with my origins, reminding me of where I was born, or more simply, allowing me to stay in contact with my loved ones."
