 | Karl Blossfeldt: Art Forms in Nature Bidding closes Thursday for one of the great photography books of the 20th Century, Karl Blossfeldt's Art Forms in Nature. This is a beautiful copy of an extremely difficult book to find as a First American Edition. Also closing this week is Plant Marvels In Miniature with a lot of two other books, each one containing lovely botanical photographs. All three are printed in rich gravure.
Open for bidding this week is Richard Misrach's second book, Untitled, comprised of black-and-white nighttime desert photographs.
If you have auction items to consign (valued at $250 or more), please e-mail us. The bids below are current as of 2:30 pm MT, 11.12.2003. |

Tom Paiva Photographer's Showcase Portfolio
"Night photography has been a passion of mine for more than a dozen years. I enjoy the urban industrial landscape and see a certain power in the constructs of man. ... At night, their textures and shapes become more interesting, and often take on an appearance of greater importance. With night also comes a look of mystery, of the peculiar loneliness and isolation unique to industrialized societies."—Tom Paiva |

Keith Carter Opening Friday Nov. 14, 5-7 pm,
Join us in our Santa Fe Gallery for the opening of Keith Carter: In the Company of Animals on Friday, November 14, 2003 from 5-7 pm. In the Company of Animals will be the first exhibition to showcase Carter’s animal photographs, gathering together work that spans twenty years of his career. Whether shooting a goat, elephant, bird, or dog, Carter’s uncanny visual intimacy offers insight into the mystery of the momentary connection between humans and the rest of animal kind. The exhibition continues through January 31, 2004.
