Rare Eikoh Hosoe Volume on the BlockRare Eikoh Hosoe Volume on the Block
An early and extremely scarce Hosoe title in absolutely gorgeous condition. Features dancers' bodies in exuberant and fluid movement. As is characteristic of his figure studies, Hosoe exploits the grainy qualities of his film to produce images in which flesh becomes abstract and mysterious without losing any of its sensuality.

Closing this week: Friedlander's Flowers and Trees (SIGNED!); Kertész's J'aime Paris(Inscribed); a rare Brassaï inscription.

David Hilliard: David Hilliard David Hilliard
"Formally, David Hilliard's staged photographs share the [narrative] style of contemporary photographers like Gregory Crewdson and Anna Gaskell, among others. Yet he draws less from the realm of the fantastic and instead looks to his immediate surroundings to draw inspiration, as he deftly fuses autobiography with fiction to engage a host of complex ideas."—the publisher READ MORE
