Paolo Roversi: Studio
"Studio features nearly two decades of Paolo Roversi's hugely influential studio portraiture. Within the confines of his Paris studio, Roversi photographs using a 8 x 10 Polaroid format, often allowing the images to fade before fixing them to their substrate." — the publisher
Paolo Roversi's Studio has been a highly sought after book and is likely out-of-print. This item is selling elsewhere for up to $125.
The first edition of Studio published in 2006 is highly collectible. READ MORE

Shane Lavalette: Lay Flat 02: Meta
"Lay Flat 02: Meta brings together a selection of contemporary artists whose photographs are conceptually engaged with the history, conventions and materiality of the medium itself. Photographs by numerous photographers as well as textual contributions of Adam Bell, Lesley A. Martin, Alex Klein, artists Noel Rodo-Vankeulen and Arthur Ou, as well a conversation between Lyle Rexer and James Welling, an artist who is seminal to this dialogue." — the publisher
The first volume of Lay Flat sold out very quickly and we anticipate the same with the second volume. Order soon, as there have been a limited number of copies printed. READ MORE

photo-eye Magazine Book Reviews:
IN THE REVIEWS:
"Like meditation, or the most minimalist choreography, the title of this ambitious project suffuses the entire effort with an atmosphere of stillness. The oxymoronic, Zen notion that motion and progress are arrived at by waiting applies here. Take a breath before diving in; slow down to speed up. I can only endorse such an attitude toward contemporary photography. With all the expediting tools at our disposal, what we end up with too often is disposable photography, images that can scarcely be seen before they disintegrate, before their lack of substance renders them transparent. "— from George Slades's review of Ethan Jones and David Wright's Pause, to Begin

| Original Provoke Member Yutaka Takanashi's Tokyoites A rare publication in an idiosyncratic format by one of the original Provoke members. Highly Recommended!
"Yutaka Takanashi's work creates a biographical record of Tokyo and its residents. The world within his viewfinder gives the sense of a greater composition that extends beyond the focal center to include details to the extremities of the frame...."—excerpt from, Kenneth Masaki Shima, The Changing Faces of Japan, an review of Takanashi's 2009 retrospective at The National Museum of Modern Art, Tokyo.
