| Paolo Roversi: Studio (Limited Edition) "Studio has been a milestone in [Roversi's] burgeoning bibliography. Designed as a series of 60 gate-folds, at first glance the book appears to be a collection of empty pages. The experience of looking is akin to that of peeling away the leaf from a Polaroid — out of the blackness an image is revealed as if by magic. In images that represent two decades of work, the collection offers a self-portrait of the artist and a window into the place where he creates his art. These photographs are a mix of both the published and the highly personal, but all have the intimacy engendered by that place where Roversi fells most at home."—the publisher |

from the book The Idea of North
|
The Idea of North by Birthe Piontek"Birthe Piontek uses the inhabitants of Dawson City, Yukon Territory to set the stage for her book The Idea of North. The title describes the work clearly. Few clues are given as to who is in the pictures. A series of images take us through her idea of the north. The book is a result of her participation in Photolucida's Critical Mass review." — from the review by Tom Leininger of The Idea of North

from the book A Tree of Night
|
A Closer Look — A Tree of Night
"A Tree of Night by Japanese photographer Tomoki Imai is a beautiful slim paperback volume of understated color images. The book is an experiment by the photographer, an endeavor to see if a photographer could sympathize with a blind person. Using a visual art form to attempt to compassionately comprehend the world of a person without vision is a tricky task, but Imai has navigated it in a fascinating way." — Sarah Bradley

Mitch Dobrowner
"21ST Editions is honored to announce Mitch Dobrowner, the second book in 21ST Editions' new Prism Series. Limited to 280 copies, each book is wrapped in a Twinrocker handmade paper and accompanied by your choice (as available) of one of four signed 16x20 silver-gelatin contact prints. The four prints are limited to editions of 70 with only 50 of each for sale."
From Dafydd Wood's essay on Mitch Dobrowner:
"Mitch Dobrowner's magnificent landscapes distance themselves from all other landscapes in photography and painting....What we find here is, first, an absolute, pantheistic celebration of the beauty of nature itself. Second and equally as important is the exaltation of the artist's eye, which creates beauty from the natural world and does not simply select it or frame it — creates it in the same way that the various geological forces like erosion crafted these idle works of such rough beauty....Dobrowner articulates the sublime in work created in awe to the vast expanses of space and time."

Alejandro Chaskielberg: La Creciente
"My appetite to see and discover new work is insatiable, so when Marcelo Brodsky suggested that I meet some young Argentine photographers while I was considering who to show at the Brighton Photo Biennial for 2010, I jumped at this opportunity. By the time I had seen the third image in Chaskielberg's folio I was convinced this was a major new photographer." —from the introduction by Martin Parr READ MORE
