 from the book Double Life
|
Double Life by Kelli Connell"I've been a fan of Kelli Connell's body of work since stumbling upon her website a few years ago. I was delighted to learn that Decode Books has published Double Life, a handsome casebound book of her photographs. There are 36 full color reproductions of her images, an introductory essay by Susan Bright, and a closing interview with Dawoud Bey." — from the review of Double Life by David Ondrik

from the book West and South

West and South by Charles Brittin " West and South begins in the late 1950s by looking at an idiosyncratic group of young artists, actors and writers living in Venice Beach, California. This ragtag bohemian community is drawn together by the artists Wally and Shirley Berman who feature throughout the series. Photographer Charles Brittin successfully captures the offbeat characteristics of this group — their exuberance, individuality and playful sense of defiance." — from the review of West and South by John Mathews

Affordable Art: Great Limited Editions Under $200At photo-eye we are always pleased to announce limited edition books with prints, but sometimes worry that with the name "limited edition" attached to the title some people might steer clear fearing the high cost usually associated with that label. But fear not, affordable art is here at photo-eye as well and we wanted to point out a few of these reasonably priced limited editions before they disappear. All of the images shown below represent the print that accompanies the book — and they are all under $200.
