"In a manner of a redefined Pictorialism, I attempt to
project a series of new morality plays...Collectively this
body of work will explore certain manifestations of psychological
states, and the resulting symbols themselves will be the sole
narrative device. Within those symbols are found the dual
natures of desire/vulnerability, skepticism/meditation, and
sexuality/loneliness."—Nicholas McCalip

Timothy
Hearsum: Road Trips—Signed
"There is a long tradition in the arts of taking
to the road to discover something about one's own country.
Writers, photographers and artists have all set out, only
to realize they have found themselves or, more likely, some
fundamental truths about humanity."—Timothy Hearsum.
This accordion-fold book is an excellent vehicle to view Hearsum's
rich, reflective, and humorous color panoramic photographs.

Elinor
Carucci: Closer
Carucci's work is first and foremost about the nuclear family,
but also touches upon the related topics of intimacy and mortality.
Her parents, grandparents and spouse are the central players,
each of whom she portrays gently but unflinchingly in her
images. Her photographs work with a definite color palette;
there is a mesmerizing quality to the serene blues and vivid
reds set against the myriad tones of bare skin. Carucci was
the recipient of the International Center of Photography Young
Photographer Award for 2001. This is her first monograph.
