Chaco Terada's portfolio Portfolio 1
"My calligraphy is influenced by life experiences. When I create a brushstroke I think of the motion of water in a stream, or the movement of a breeze. My lines do not create a word in the traditional sense, they interpret the meaning or mood that I feel the word represents. Before I depict the character for the word autumn, I would meditate on an autumn scene, and let the details that come to my mind direct my hand."—Chaco Terada

Ryan Zoghlin's portfolio Aerotones
Machines have always interested me—the mechanics of an old watch or chain on a bicycle. What they do seems simple, yet complex at the same time. They have
beauty in their movement, as well as design.
This is the same sense that has attracted me to the airshow. The planes are so complex in terms of what is necessary mechanically to fly, though graphically what they do to entertain the spectators is simple—loops, spirals, etc.
My interest in creating the series was to focus on the graphic elements, to capture the temporary sculptural structure of the lines, the markings that draw so many to the event. |

Albrecht Fuchs
"What do Martin Kippenberger, Mike Kelley, Paul McCarthy, John Baldessari, Wolfgang Tillmans, Isabella Rossellini, Larry Clark and Ennio Morricone have in common? They have all been candidly captured by the lens of Albrecht Fuchs. Here, published for the first time, we see the familiar subjects gazing at the viewer with open demeanor, at home in their environment."—the publisher READ MORE

Andreas Gursky
"Since the early 1990s, Gursky has photographed his motifs using both analog and digital methods, and then composed his final image using digital technology. Gursky's works, therefore, are not classical documentary photographs, but are hyper-realistic fictions based on facts. "Reality can only be portrayed when one constructs it," says the photographer. With their paradoxical character and idealized composition, Gursky's works simultaneously express reality and observe it."—the publisher READ MORE

Rachael Dunville: Springtown—Signed
"Springtown is a series of color portrait photographs that reflect the ethos of the Ozark community in which I grew up and to which I belong. The images reveal a complex, curious, and often disarming view of the rapt attention between photographer and subject—fostered by a mutual regard for looking and for being seen. This oscillating event broadcasts desire and encapsulates the tension that is as palpable as it is fundamental to the act of making a portrait."—the publisher READ MORE
