Carol Golemboski's portfolio Psychometry
"Psychometry is a series of black and white photographs exploring issues relating to anxiety, loss, and existential doubt. The term refers to the pseudo-science of "object reading," the purported psychic ability to divine the history of objects through physical contact. Like amateur psychometrists, viewers are invited to interpret arrangements of tarnished and weathered objects, relying on the talismanic powers inherent in the vestiges of human presence. These images suggest a world in which ordinary belongings transcend their material nature to evoke the elusive presence of the past." - Carol Golemboski

| Nancy Rexroth: Iowa (SIGNED!) Among the first photographers to take up 'toy' cameras, Rexroth used a "Diana" camera (a plastic toy camera) for this six-year long project...Her photographs are subjective and autobiographical, finding children in the act of flying, old white houses that wave and shutter, old white houses that wave and shutter, and her mother...
A highly influential body of work; a rare signed copy of this hard to find book!

Olaf Otto Becker: Broken Line
"Olaf Otto Becker, born in 1959, worked for almost four years and covered thousands of miles by boat creating these photographs of the Greenlandic coastline. The resulting images, made in the clear light of the midsummer night over long exposures, are worth the effort. Almost shadowless neo-romantic dreamscapes, they are unrealistically beautiful." —the publisher READ MORE

Only 40 copies of this limited edition remaining. Special order now!
"In Fritz Klemperer's startling new photographic essay, A Ballad for Kenya, portrays forty years of intimate access with its people, depicting a native people torn between the customs of the past and lure of Western culture. Through indigenous poetry and stories, the Kenyans narrate their every day lives, giving life to Klemperer's lyrically hand-colored black and white images. Old Kenya emerges too in a boy's circumcision rite, women in native dress, a funeral ritual for a child. These images reveal both the plight of a people as well as their trust in the rituals and simple lifestyle they have practiced for centuries."—the publisher READ MORE
