Walter Chappell by Minor White
A student and collaborator of Minor White's, and well-known for his Metaflora and nude studies, Chappell lost virtually all of his earliest prints and negatives in a disastrous fire in 1961. Now, as an exquisite exhibition catalogue, comes a glimpse at this rare vintage work containing both familiar and lesser-known images. Perfectly printed in tritone by Stinehour Press, the 10 images reproduced here span those crucial, formative years of Chappell's life. The limited edition comes housed in a slipcase with an image of Chappell, taken by Minor White, tipped onto the cover. The book is signed by Chappell, author Peter Bunnell, who provided the essay, and poet Robert Creeley, who contributed a piece.
