A powerful and intimate portait of the life of women in a psychiatric ward in The Oregon State Hospital shot over a period of thirty-six days. Mark first visited the ward in 1975 when she documented the filming of director Milos Forman's Oscar-winning film, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest. The photographs in this book show the women, who were considered dangerous to themselves and/or to others, both in their private hellish worlds and as they interact with each other or the photographer.
Trace of wear to edges; otherwise Fine. |
