Snapped by Peter Orlovsky, this iconic shot of a core group of the Beat writers not quite at the height of their powers was taken in front of one of the City Lights Books, the shop founded by Lawrence Ferlinghetti in in San Francisco's North Beach in 1953. Appearing left to right are Bob Donlan (the model for Bob Donnelly in Kerouac's Desolation Angels); Neal Cassady; Ginsberg; the painter, Bob La Vigne and Ferlinghetti.

Fine condition; trace of wear at corners; no surface blemishes.
