Stunning panoramic landscape work by Sudek photographed in the 50s, but not published until around the time of the Soviet invasion. Pictured is an area in the Central Czech uplands, and show Sudek's ease with this notoriously difficult format. Printed directly from the photographic negatives, very likely under Sudek's supervision.

Sudek never tired of exploring the possibilities of the photographic sonnets he could make with his antique mechanism whose shutter speeds were marked simply "fast" and "slow".
