Michiko Kon. Essays by Ryu Murakami and Toshiharu Ito. Korinsha Press, Tolyo, 1997. Unpaged. Small folio. SIGNED. Clothbound with debossed title and spine. Paper over board clamshell case with tipped in cover image. Black-and-white and color reproductions. Text in Japanese.
NOTE: Slipcase shown in illustration.
Michiko Kon's still lifes improbably combine fish, beans, caviar, wrist watches, chairs and other bits of randomness into some of the most wonderful surrealist assemblage images. A scarce Japanese monograph with many of her finest images with rich duotone printing.
Book is Very Fine; slipcase just a bit stressed at tips, with small areas of abrasion at three points.
