Inscribed to photographer John Weiss (White wrote 'Jane'), who took one of the definitive portaits of white. Clothbound in illustrated dust jacket. Numerous black-and-white reproductions. Booklet with comments by Beaumont Newhall, Meyer Schapiro, Peter Bunnell, Jonathan Williams, Barbara Morgan, and Ansel Adams laid in. Also laid in: A flyer for a 1975 exhibition of White's at the Washington Gallery of Photography; plus an invitation to John Weiss' 1977 show at the Northern Virginia Community College; on it is his portrait of white. The flyer is aperture editor Michael Hoffman and postmarked Nov, 1977--on it is written: 'Minor White, In rememberence' (White died in June of 1976).
