Total of 37 loose card sheets held together by separate spine; the whole held together with wide black ribbon, as issued. Housed in the publisher's wood and cardboard slipcase with front and back covered with original pages from Punk Magazine #6, 1976, making each copy unique.

As one of the main providers of images for John Holmstrom's legendary Punk Magazine, Roberta Bayley was one of the primary chroniclers of the golden age of the New York Punk, New Wave, and No Wave scenes circa 1975-1980. She shot the cover of the first Ramones record, probably one of the most iconic of all images to capture the early punk vibe. Along with the drawings of Holmstrom and the unforgettable rantings of Legs McNeil her photos were instrumental in shaping the look of a movement that was often too inchoate and adverse to commercialism to bother very much with self-promotion. Among her many portrait subjects who went on to be icons of the era were Blondie, Elvis Costello, The Damned, Richard Hell, Iggy Pop, The Ramones, Sex Pistols, Joe Strummer, Televison, Talking Heads, Johnny Thunders, etc. etc. This limited edition of just 76 copies strikes a nice balance between its status as a luxury item (let's face it!) and an object that evokes the spirit slapstick nihilism that characterized Punk magazine and the scene that it championed.
