Welcome to photo-eye Auctions!

This Week's Auctions

This past week saw an extraordinary result for Enrique Bostelmann's classic protest book, America: Un viaje a traves de la injusticia (America: Journey Through Injustice). Among this week's auction listings, we've got a signed copy of Kenji Ishiguro's austerely haunting Hiroshima Now. "What is most wonderful about Mr. Ishiguro's Hiroshima," writes Tadanori Yokoo in his essay, "is the fact that he turned his heart into a lens when he took the pictures. [He] reveals our remembrance of objects whose shadows are the shadow of the Bomb. This remembrance is the eternal scar upon our Japanese mind."

Also on the block this week:
  • Eikoh Hosoe: Otoko to Onna (Man and Woman)--1st edition--SIGNED
  • Arnold Genthe: Old Chinatown (1913 Edition is Scarce Dust Jacket)
  • Takuma Nakahira: For a Language to Come (First Edition)
  • Peter Beard: The Last Word From Paradise-- INSCRIBED + Additional Inscribed Item
