The first retrospective book by this important American photographer. Beautifully printed by the renown Meriden Gravure Co, from half-tone negatives made by Richard Benson, Lee Friedlander Photographs was published to coincide with an exhibit at the Hudson River Museum in Yonkers, New York. The preface is an excerpt from Marcel Proust's "A Visit From Albertine" from The Guermantes Way.
A beautiful, crisp copy. Spine is somewhat sun-faded, cloth cover on verso is lightly scuffed, title page has an unobtrusive three inch indentation, several pages have small, minor half-moon creases, otherwise Fine.
