THIS LOT CONSISTS OF TWO BOOKS: From the Missouri West by Robert Adams, and The Hand of Man on America (shown) by David Plowden.
From the Missouri West. Photographs by Robert Adams. Aperture/ A New Images Book, Millerton, New York, 1980. First edition. Oblong quarto. Photo-illustrated stiff wrappers. Adams' presents a rather personal series of fifty-nine images of the natural landscape of the American West; his forebearers had settled along the banks of the Missouri River. A very good copy, with light cover soiling (including one small light round spot at bottom of front cover).
The Hand of Man on America. The Chatham Press, Inc. Riverside, Connecticut, 1973. Oblong quarto. Stiff photo-illustrated wrappers. 77 pp.
Plowden, in contrast to Adams, focusses on American views created or altered by man. Bottom left inner corner bumped, otherwise a fine copy.
