This expanded version of Koudelka's classic monograph includes several additional images, an expanded biography, and updated bibliography by Stuart Alexander. Exiled from his native Czechoslovakia for photographing the 1968 Soviet invasion, Koudelka roamed Europe for thirty years, photographing for the Magnum agency while producing these remarkable images. These deeply felt photographs remain an important document of the search for a spiritual homeland.
