Compassionate Photographer. Photographs by Larry Burrows. Introduction by Ralph Graves. Quarto. Hardbound with photo-illustrated slip case. Time-Life Books, New York, 1972.
For nine years British photographer Larry Burrows produced some of the most searing images of the Vietnam war. He was killed in 1971 when his helicopter was shot down en route to cover the South Vietnamese invasion of Laos. Posthumously published by Time-Life, about half of this book deals with Vietnam, while the other half covers a range of subjects, most from the developing world.
Slipcase is worn and scuffed especially at corners and edges. Photo-illustration tipped on front of case has one half-inch triange-shape missing, several smaller nicks and scars, and scratches, with some air bubbles. Spine of clothbound book is sun faded. Very Good. |
