The Center for Creative Photography--home of the Edward Weston archive--and photo-historian Beaumont Newhall, collaborated on this important retrospective monograph that celebrates the centenary of Edward Weston's birth. Nearly one third of the photographs, superbly reproduced here, had rarely been seen prior to this book. Included are platinum, silver, and surprisingly, a small selection of color work. Newhall's illuminating essay examines the evolution of Weston's aesthetic. The publication of this book coincided with a major traveling exhibition.
