The rare catalogue from an important exhibition of photographs showing contemporary trends in Japan during the era of the ground-breaking photographic periodical 'Provoke' (which was published in small runs in Tokyo by Takuma Nakahira and Koji Taki). Includes a portrait of each photographer and at least two images by each of them. Included are Nobuyoshi Araki, Daido Moriyama, Kazuo Kitai, Kishin Shinoyama, Yutaka Takanashi, Masahisa Fukase, Takuma Nakahira, Katsumi Watanabe, and others. Strong parallels can be drawn with American photography of the seventies. Printed by Nissha Printing on coated paper.
