Solos. Photographs by Linda Connor. Inscribed and dated Summer 2000. Clothbound with dust jacket. Squarish quarto. 57 gravure reproductions. Millerton, NY, Aperion Workshops, 1979.
This first monograph by noted landscape photographer Linda Connor is devoted to her early work. The photographs, made with an 8x10 view camera and soft-focus lens, are printed on gold-toned printing-out-paper, and are beautifully reproduced by Meriden Gravure. In this work, Connor explores the ancient archetypal language of symbolism. "These photographs are 'memories' beyond time; what they help us remember is the eternal and immediate nature and process of existence."--the publisher.
Fine in Fine dust jacket; dust jacket has typical age related rubbing, shelf, and edge wear; light bumps to crown and base of spine; text block slightly cocked.
