THIS LOT CONSISTS OF 2 BOOKS: The Letters from Tina Modotti to Edward Weston, The Archive #22, January, 1986 (shown); and Alfred Stieglitz Talking: Notes On Some of His Conversations, 1925-1931

The Letters from Tina Modotti to Edward Weston, The Archive #22, January 1986. Written by Amy Stark. Statement by James Enyeart. Center acquisitions compiled by Sharon Alexandra. Additional article by Roger Myers. Quarto. Wrappers. Center for Creative Photography, Tucson, AZ, 1986. Though they were together less than five years, Edward Weston and Tina Modotti lived with such intensity that theirs has been one of the great relationships in all of art. Modotti alternated between being Weston's model, student, lover, and confidant. Some yellowing and rubbing; otherwise Fine.

Alfred Stieglitz Talking: Notes On Some of His Conversations, 1925-1931. Foreword by Herbert J. Seligmann. Yale University Library, New Haven, 1992. 149 pp. Octavo. Hardbound. The book is made up of Herbert J. Seligmann's notes on some of Alfred Stieglitz' conversations. These conversations transpired at various artists' exhibitions, including that of Arthur G. Dove, Georgia O'Keeffe, and other prominent figures. The original notes are part of the Alfred Stieglitz Archive donated by Georgia O'Keeffe and Seligmann to the Collection of American Literature in the Yale University Library in 1949. Some light soiling and foxing to fore edges; otherwise Fine. Note: the reprint is still available.
