Park City. Photographs by Lewis Baltz. Essay by Gus Blaisdell. Artspace Press, Albuquerque/Castelli Graphics, New York in association with Aperture, Millerton, NY, 1980. 252 pp. First edition (3000 copies). Large, squarish quarto. Clothbound in library protected dust jacket. Numerous black-and-white reproductions.

Lewis Baltz is well-known for his coolly minimalist view of the American landscape. His monograph The New Industrial Parks Near Irvine, California appears in Roth's Book of 101 Books. Park City is a carefully sequenced selection of photographs made in the new resort development of Park City, Utah. The essay, by Gus Blaisdell, discusses philosophical aspects of Baltz's work and photography in general. Extremely fine reproductions by the Acme Printing Company.

Fine/Fine: Covered dust jacket is a bit worn at the corners, tail, and crown; light soiling to page edges; boards slightly bowed with some minor wear to lower edges.
