THIS LOT CONSISTS OF 2 BOOKS BY LEWIS BALTZ: Maryland, 1976 and Nevada, 1978 (shown)

Maryland: The Nation's Capital in Photographs, 1976. Photographs by Lewis Baltz. Essay by Jane Livingston. Corcoran Gallery of Art: Washington, D.C., 1976. 21 pp. Quarto. Wrappers. A catelogue of the exhibition Maryland 1 through Maryland 25, inclusive. Lewis Baltz is best known for his books Park City and The New Industrial Parks Near Irvine, California, 1974. The work included in this catalogue, part of the Corcoran Gallery's bicentennial project, is similar to his other work, focusing on suburban housing developments surrounding Washington, D.C. Typical yellowing to plain white wrappers; otherwise Fine.

Nevada. Photographs by Lewis Baltz. Castelli Graphics, New York, 1978. Edition limited to 2000 copies. Oblong quarto. Wrappers. 15 black-and-white reproductions. 21 pp. Reproduces all of the images from this 1978 portfolio that, like Baltz's later book Park City, takes a coolly minimalist view of the impact of development on the vast open spaces of the west. One-inch crease and tiny tear to upper corner of front wrapper and front free-endpaper; otherwise Fine.
