Text in Czech + 156 gravure images of the mountainous region of Czechoslovakia, with numerous fine landscapes, winter scenes of skiing activities, farming, dramatic skies, etc. Very good copy with slight tanning at edges, four tiny spots of soiling at side edge of back cover and mild bump at the lower left of front cover. In clear glassine.

Eugene Smith, Jan Lukas, Vaclav Chochola, Vaclav Jiru, Bill Brandt, Margaret Bourke-White, the staffs of LIFE, Paris Match, TASS, and numerous others. A very good lightly shaken copy, with crease lines in the cloth covers (occurred during the binding process). Front panel of duskjacket laid in. In clear glassine.
