The catalogue was produced in conjunction with Judd's selection as recipient of the Stankowski Foundation Prize in 1993. It focuses on one of the the most important parts of his legacy: his buildings at 101 Spring Street, New York and Marfa, Texas, and his work to transform their interior spaces by means of architecture, furniture design, and the artwork displayed within. Todd Eberle has been one of the leading architectural photographers for the last twenty years. He was commissioned to document these spaces. Though this is not a photobook, stictly speaking, in their formal rigor, Eberle's austere, crisply rendered images themselves show Minimalism's lasting influence. Thus, we include it here. An important examination of the Minimalist aesthetic and, more generally, the the relation of fine and applied art in both art and architecture.
