Printed by Clergue in 1981
Signed and titled on recto; signed, titled, and dated with notations in Clergue's hand on verso.
As Parr and Badger wrote of the book Toros Muertos, Clergue's depiction of the professional bull ring makes it difficult to tell whether he is "pro or anti-bullfightling. That is the book's great strength. By applying immediacy and spontaneity to a specific event, [putting] us in the position of a participant rather than a spectator, giving us all the evidence we need to make up our minds."
Very faint surface scratch, visible only in raked light, left side of image (emulsion unaffected); otherwise excellent.
