Intérieurs. Photographs by Sophie Ristelhueber and François Hers Preface by Jean-François Chevrier. Text by René Schoonbrodt. Archives d'Architecture Moderne, Bruxelles, 1981. First Edition. Oblong quarto. First edition. Stiff wrappers with French-fold jacket. Color and black-and-white reproductions.

The first book by photographer Sophie Ristelhueber (best known for Fait) was a collaboration with future husband François Hers. The first section, photographed by him, consists of color images of the empty interiors of somewhat non-descript homes. Initially, Hers had proposed that Ristelhueber compose texts to accompany his photos describing the supposed inhabitants of these interiors. But she found that the camera was better suited to conveying the concreteness she was aiming for.

Near Fine+/Fine-; light edge wear; a few spots of rubbing to rear wrapper.
