Welcome to photo-eye Auctions!
This Week's Auctions
Chargesheimer (Karl-Heinz Hargesheimer, 1924–1972) was one of the prolific photographers working in post-war Germany. Though his background lies in the Subjective Photography movement, his city books on Cologne draw on the 'urban humanist' sensibilities of Cartier-Bresson, Doisneau, Boubat and others. Unter Krahnenbäumen and Cologne intime are two of his very best photobooks examining his native city.
Also on the block:
Walker Evans: 'Man in a White Suit', 1933 (Silver-gelatin print)
Masahisa Fukase: The Solitude of Ravens (Karasu)—First Edition!
Andreas Gursky: Montparnasse
