Published by Aperture in 1992, The Last Day of Summer was a groundbreaking volume of tender and intimate portraits by Sturges, who is known for his work in naturist communities. This portfolio of three gelatin-silver prints, each signed by the artist, is sold in a cloth-covered clamshell case. It is in an edition of 100 and 10 artist’s proofs. The prints are 1. Christina, Misty Dawn & Alisa, Northern California, 1989. 2. Flore et Fredérique, Montalivet, France, 1988. 3. Lotte, la riviere Dronne, les Peintures, France, 2001. Each print has an image size of 10 1/2 x 13 1/2 inches and is matted to 16x20 inches.
