Linda Connor makes photographs using an 8 x 10-inch view camera. She then contact prints the negatives onto Printing-Out Paper using the sunlight in her garden. She received a Guggenheim Fellowship and two photography fellowships from the National Endowment for the Arts.
She has been honored with solo exhibitions at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, the Center for Creative Photography, Tucson, Arizona, and the Corcoran Gallery of Art, Washington, D.C., among many others, and her photographs are in the permanent collections of over forty museums. Her publications include Solos: Photographs by Linda Connor, Spiral Journey, and the award-winning On the Music of the Spheres. For thirty-six years she has taught photography at the San Francisco Art Institute where she is Professor of Photography.
