Nazraeli Press, Tucson, 2004. 64 pp., 49 duotone illustrations, 12x13".
For the past several years, British-born photographer Michael Kenna has produced a book of photographs at the rate of one per year. Night Work, 2000 (Cat# TR061H), Impossible to Forget, 2001 (Cat# TR075H), Easter Island, 2002 (Cat# TR097H), Calais Lace, 2003 (Cat# TR135H), and now two new monographs, Ratcliffe Power
Station and the all-important Retrospective Two, which gathers
together work from the past 10 years, starting where Kenna's
twenty year retrospective left off. Anne Tucker, an able and gifted writer, was commissioned to lend her thoughts to Kenna's
lifelong pursuit of images, and brings some welcome insight to the presentation of his work.
