On October 16th, 1990, Paul Strand would have been 100 years old. Limited to 2,000 numbered copies, this exquisite catalogue celebrates this centennial with marvelous reproductions of 93 Strand photographs taken throughout his life. Also included are important interviews by Naomi and Walter Rosenblum--close friends of Strand, John Szarkowski--Curator of Photography at the Museum of Modern Art in New York--Michael Hoffman, managing director of Aperture and publisher of several Strand portfolios, Milton Brown--art historian, and Richard Benson--printer of several Strand portfolios. The offset lithography printing is in duotone, using six different color inks to reproduce as exactly as possible the color of Strand's originals. One of the finest collections of Strand's work ever published that will surely become a hard-to-find collector's item in the years ahead.
