What the Hell Am I Doing Here?
The 100 T-Shirt Project

Photographs and text by Abram Shalom Himelstein.
Garrett County Press, New Orleans, 2003. 116 pp., numerous black-and-white illustrations, 7x5½".

Publisher's Description
10,000 books in the house. No room. So-I drove around the country selling them to people on the street. Then there was room. So I got to stay in New Orleans for a while. I missed talking to people in the streets, so I went all over asking people what they think all day but don't say out loud. They wrote their answers on t-shirts and I took pictures of them wearing the shirts. Selling my book on the street was fun. But getting people on the street to write my next book was even better.
