Baptiste Lignel and Johnny Miller's novel approach to photographing Coney Island seems to have found its natural spot on the long historical list of their predecessors. Their Coney Island taken from the hip makes you smile because you can smell the hot dogs and the garbage at the end of a warm and beautiful Sunday. You can feel the sand between your toes, kick a few Cerveza bottles and step on a few fried chicken bones. Colors and shapes embrace and melt together, and make you wonder. Whose trash is it? Was it this woman who dropped the object or her sister? There is an interaction between the people and the still life of the trash, and at the same time, some of the objects seem to be a perfect and natural extension of them selves. All in all, colors and shapes embrace and marry as harmoniously as a frankfurter with a roll, bringing a new meaning to the surrounding fat and dirt.
The limited edition consists of 60 signed and numbered copies.
Each copy comes with two signed and numbered original prints,
matching a spread of the book, chosen by each author.
