BRANDGANG is a series of photographs made by Herman Wouters in the small characteristic corridors behind houses in several cities in the Netherlands.
It shows the small inventions and improvised architecture by people marking their own semi-public urban space.
More and more these corridors (brandgang = fire lane) are closed bij gates.
