Photographs by Amaury da Cunha.
Le Caillou Bleu, 2013. 64 pp., color illustrations throughout, 7½x10".
French photographer Amaury da Cunha perceives realities in everyday life which generally escape our attention. The sequences and layouts of his photographs compose visual poems, even photographic short stories, if the time is taken to penetrate their seemingly indecipherable surface layers. Portraits, textures, strong light and brilliant colour all play significant roles in his intimate visualisation of simple compositions and poignant details.
