Tokyo's Metropolitan Museum of Photography has brought together eight of Japan's most celebrated contemporary photographers (including Watanabe Go, Kobayashi Shinichiro, and Koie Makiko). At least four examples of each photographers' (often most recent) work is presented here and introduced in an essay by curator Kasahara Michiko. The photographers have also contributed an intimate reflection of their artistic motivations and the intention of their work.
